Terms of Service
Last updated: 21 February 2026
1. Scope
These terms apply to anyone who uses the ba-beyond.eu website or participates in BA & Beyond events — as an attendee, speaker, partner, or in any other capacity. By accessing the website or registering for an event, you agree to these terms.
2. About BA & Beyond
BA & Beyond is a professional conference for the business analysis community. Our goal is to create a valuable, inclusive experience for everyone involved — participants, speakers, and partners alike.
The website provides information about upcoming and past events, speaker content, and community initiatives. We aim for accuracy, but event details (programme, speakers, schedules, venues) may change. Material changes will be communicated as promptly as possible.
3. Community standards
BA & Beyond is built on professional respect and open exchange. Everyone participating — whether online or at events — is expected to engage constructively and treat others with courtesy.
We do not tolerate harassment, discrimination, or disruptive behaviour of any kind. If a participant’s conduct is incompatible with these standards, BA & Beyond reserves the right to remove that person from the event or platform, without refund where relevant.
4. Events and programme
Scheduling changes
Event details — including speakers, topics, and session times — may be adjusted. We will communicate significant changes in advance.
Cancellation and postponement
In rare circumstances, an event may be postponed or cancelled due to circumstances beyond our control (force majeure, venue issues, etc.). In these cases:
- Registered participants will be notified as soon as possible
- Refunds or transfer options will follow the policy published at the time of registration and our ticketing provider’s (Pretix) refund terms
- BA & Beyond is not liable for travel or accommodation costs incurred by participants
Refund requests
Refund eligibility depends on the event’s stated cancellation policy, which is published during registration. Contact info@ba-beyond.eu for questions.
5. Photography and recording at events
BA & Beyond events can be photographed and video-recorded for documentation and community sharing. By attending, you acknowledge that your image or voice may be captured in this context.
- You will be informed of recording at registration and via on-site signage
- If you prefer not to be photographed or filmed, please notify us at info@ba-beyond.eu or speak to a team member on-site
- Speaker sessions may be recorded separately; usage of session recordings will be agreed upon with speakers
Event photos and recordings may be used on our website, social media channels, and future promotional materials. We do not sell or license event recordings to third parties.
6. Speaker content and intellectual property
Speaker ownership
Speakers retain full copyright to their own materials — presentations, articles, graphics, and other content they create and submit to BA & Beyond.
Licence to BA & Beyond
By participating as a speaker, you grant BA & Beyond a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to use your name, biography, photo, session title, abstract, and any materials you have made available for sharing, for the following purposes:
- Promoting the event and future editions
- Publishing event summaries, highlights, and recaps
- Archiving event content on our website or community platforms
This licence does not extend to selling or commercially licensing your materials to third parties, and it does not affect your right to use your own materials in any way you choose.
AI tools and speaker submissions
BA & Beyond may use AI-assisted tools to support programme review — for example, to help our programme committee review proposals or create session summaries. When AI tools are used to process your submitted content:
- Final editorial and selection decisions are always made by human reviewers
- Your materials will not be used to train AI models
- AI-generated summaries or highlights based on your content will be clearly identified as AI-assisted
If you have specific concerns about AI processing of your materials, please contact us at info@ba-beyond.eu before submitting.
7. Website intellectual property
The BA & Beyond website — including its design, text, and original content — is owned by BA & Beyond unless stated otherwise. You may share and reference content from our website for non-commercial purposes, provided you clearly attribute it to BA & Beyond and link to the source.
Commercial reproduction or redistribution of website content requires our prior written consent.
8. Responsible use of the website
When using ba-beyond.eu, you agree not to:
- Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the website or its infrastructure
- Use automated tools to extract or scrape content at scale for commercial purposes
- Post or transmit unlawful, harmful, or misleading content
- Impersonate BA & Beyond or any event participant
- Interfere with the website’s operation or security
